The dairy program at Teagasc is focused on a grass-based milk production system, and needs to operate at a high level of efficiency in terms of economics, labour and animal and person well-being.

The current health and welfare programme includes EU and nationally funded studies across metabolic and infectious diseases.

The successful candidate will work actively with the team to identify issues important to the dairy industry, formulate objectives, develop and implement a research programme that is both innovative and impactful.
