Deactivate Account

There are two different ways you may wish to deactivate your account depending on how you registered:
Fully Registered Members
If you registered fully you have three choices:
- A. Delete all your CV(s). This will mean that no-one will be able to offer you jobs. It will also delete any job applications you made using this CV. To do this log in to your account at www.academicjobseu.com. Click the "CV Management" sub tab. Now click "Delete" under the CV you wish to delete. Click the "I Agree" button. That CV will then be deleted. Repeat this for any other CVs you which to delete.
- B. De-activate your CV(s). Your CV will remain in the system but no one will be able to find it. You will continue to receive jobs by email (but see C below). You can then re-activate your CV whenever you wish at anytime in the future. To do this log in to your account at www.academicjobseu.com. Click the "CV Management" sub tab. Now click "Deactivate" under the CV you wish to de-activate. Now make sure that there is NOT a tick in the tick box beside "Make this CV searchable?. Now click the "I Agree" button at the bottom of the page. Your CV is now de-activated and no one can find it.
- C. De-activate your Job Search Agent. To stop receiving jobs by email (This only refers to registered members.) you must de-activate your Job Search Agent. To do this log in to your account at www.academicjobseu.com. Click the "Account Details" sub tab. Select the "Email Alerts" link in the left link panel. Now make sure that there is not a tick in the tick box beside "Tick this box if you wish to receive an email when a new job matching your profile is posted to the database". Now click the "Update Details" button at the bottom of the page. Your Job Search Agent is now de-activated. To re-activate it reverse the above procedure.
