For its physiotherapy Department the Haute école de santé de Genève (Geneva School of Health Sciences) HES-SO is advertising for the position of

Associate Professor HES in Physiotherapy

80% occupation

The largest health school in French-speaking Switzerland and a member of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO), the Geneva School of Health (HEdS- Geneva) is the only school to bring together five of the seven health fields: Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Midwifery, Nursing and Medical Radiology Technology. It trains highly qualified health professionals, capable of meeting the demands of today's and tomorrow's health care practice and also offers a wide range of continuing education courses. In addition to education, HEdS-Geneva also pursues high-level research missions and recognized service provision.

The HEdS is looking for an Associate Professor HES expert in physiotherapy research with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience as a physiotherapist. Integrated in a dynamic and stimulating environment, the holder of the position will develop a clinical research program, supervise bachelor, master and possibly doctoral students. He/she will design, deliver and evaluate physiotherapy teaching in bachelor, master and postgraduate courses.

You ideally have a PhD related to physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification; you have obtained a Master (MSc) and a Bachelor (BSc) in physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification. You have several years of professional expertise as a physiotherapist and as a researcher in one of the fields of our profession. Knowledge of new technologies and/or sustainable development would be a plus. You must have proven teaching experience and either certified didactic training or a strong motivation to acquire this certification rapidly. Additionally, you should have an interest in innovative teaching methods.

Motivated by a scientific career in the context of a University of Applied Sciences, you have proven skills in writing funding applications and have obtained several large grants as the main applicant. You have confirmed skills in leading research teams and have a list of international and national scientific publications. You have in-depth and diversified knowledge in statistical analysis (mastery of software such as SPSS, R and / or Matlab, MAXQDA or NVivo), you have an excellent mastery of French and English, both spoken and written (level C1 or C2).
