Applications are invited for a number of open postdoctoral research associate (PDRA)/senior research associate positions in the theory of quantum computation, tenable from a date to be agreed.

Areas of particular interest include, but are not restricted to:

- quantum algorithms and their underpinning mathematics;
- architectures for quantum computers;
- applications of quantum computers;
- quantum computational complexity and Hamiltonian complexity;
- algorithms for simulation of quantum systems;
- and verification/testing of quantum devices.

The PDRAs will have the opportunity to work with Prof Noah Linden and/or Dr Ashley Montanaro in the School of Mathematics, University of Bristol.

The applicant should have, or expect to soon receive, a PhD in the theory of quantum computation or quantum information; or otherwise should be able to show evidence of expertise in this area.

The applicant should also have a track record of high-quality publications.
