The Faculty of Law invites applications for a
W3 Professorship in Civil Law and Business Law
as of April 1st, 2021
Reference is made to § 61 Para. 7 Hessian Higher Education Act (HHG) and to conditions of employment based on § 62 HHG. Proficient knowledge of German is expected.
The future job holder takes part in the courses in the compulsory civil law area and in the courses for minor subject students as well as in the business law focus area including the related examination duties.
An international orientation is expressly desired, the willingness to participate in the expansion of international (European and non-European) contacts and cooperations of the faculty as well as for interdisciplinary cooperation with other faculties.
The integration of gender aspects in research and teaching is also desirable.
The future job holder is excellently scientifically proven in civil law and in at least one area of business law.
Publications in recognized national and international journals, success in the independent acquisition and management of externally funded projects as well as the willingness to work at the Giessen Graduate Centre for Social Sciences, Business, Economics and Law (GGS) are required.
The ability to teach in English is expected.
