The School of Geography & Environmental Sciences at the University of Southampton is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic lecturer to join the Landscape Dynamics & Ecology group on a full-time, fixed-term contract, from 1 September 2020 to 31 May 2021 (10 months).
Along with scope to pursue independent research activities, this post will involve providing specific teaching cover for contributions (leading and shared) over two semesters to a suite of modules offered in the School of Geography & Environmental Science:
Dangerous World (GEOG1011; lead), Concepts & Methods for Environmental Management (GEOG2039; shared), Studying Geography at University (GEOG1010; shared), and Coastal Landscapes & Human Interactions (GEOG2040; lead).

The teaching cover is for Dr Eli Lazarus, who will mentor the appointee, provide access to current teaching materials, and handle and/or assist with specific teaching-related administrative duties.
The appointee is welcome to contribute their own relevant teaching materials and innovations, depending on expertise and alignment with existing module descriptions. Experience researching and/or teaching coastal systems science is essential.
