The School of Business and Law is located at the modern Joondalup campus which features a wide range of contemporary facilities including a state-of-the art Library and Moot Court that enhances student and staff experiences. The School offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate, coursework and research Business and Law degrees designed to prepare our students with the relevant employability skills required by the industry. In 2019, the School of Business and Law was recognised as one of the top public universities in Western Australia for Teaching Quality and Graduate Satisfaction in the undergraduate areas of Business and Management, and Law and Paralegal Studies.

The Opportunity

The Law Discipline is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor/Professor to bring strategic and leadership capability along with proven academic standing to contribute to the continued growth of the Discipline. The successful candidate is expected to develop and deliver across both Priestley and non-Priestley units; build the intake and be actively involved in developing early career researchers within the discipline. The applicant is expected to make a significant contribution to the Discipline’s research profile by producing high-quality research and actively participating in research communities.

What you will bring

To be successful in this role you will need:
  • A doctoral qualification in Law with a first degree in Law (L.L.B) or equivalent desired.
  • Outstanding academic record with an international reputation as a leader in your field.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop collaborations and secure external grants.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with others to achieve outcomes and continual improvement.
  • Ability to grow the University’s reputation for having world ready graduates and leading edge research.

This ongoing full-time position attracts a competitive salary of between $146,917 and $161,526 (ALVED) OR $188,321 (ALEVE) per annum in accordance with your qualifications and experience plus 17% University superannuation.
