The University of Bristol School of Earth Sciences seeks an outstanding candidate for a full-time temporary Pathway 1 Lectureship in Geofluids/Hydrochemistry for a period of 1 year ideally commencing in October 2019 (subject to the successful candidate’s notice period.)

The School of Earth Sciences is one of the top departments in the world, with respect to our research, teaching and engagement with society.

It is also an intellectually broad School, and most areas in this diverse discipline are represented at Bristol.

The successful candidate will teach in the area of Geofluids (Water Resources, Groundwater Hydrology, Fluid Flow in Reservoirs) to assist in the delivery of its undergraduate programmes to cover the sabbatical leave of a senior colleague (see further particulars for specific courses).

As part of an industry funded project between Petrobras and the Universities of Bristol and York, the successful candidate will undertake hydrological/geochemical modelling work.

The project aims to develop a process-based understanding of deposition and early diagenesis of lacustrine carbonate sediments.
