The Department of Computer Science at the University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a full-time faculty member in Computational Neuroscience and Machine Learning at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, comparable to Assistant / Associate Professorship level.

Candidates are sought with expertise in computation neuroscience and with research interests that emphasise parts of the discipline that are informed by, or relate, to machine learning.

The University of Bristol has one of the largest centres for computational neuroscience in the UK with existing expertise in modelling synapses and circuits, in learning, in decision making, in neurolinguistics, in biometic robotics, in autism and related disorders and in the dynamics of neuronal networks.

The University of Bristol is also a top centre for machine learning and AI, with a strong presence in our own School and across the university and in the Jean Golding Institute for data science and data-intensive research, the university is also a Alan Turing Institute partner university.

The University of Bristol is a leader in experimental neuroscience, clinical neuroscience, and cognitive sciences with a strong tradition of collaboration between experimental and computational neuroscientists.
