CCCB £80,075 to £107,204 per annum (which includes London Allowance)

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.
The purpose of this role will be to develop high quality academic research in Head and Neck cancer. The successful candidate will spend 50% of their time undertaking translational research and 50% of their time in clinical work. The post holder will lead, deliver and develop non-commercial clinical research, which is eligible for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN) portfolio. The Clinical Senior Lecturer will be working with a team of consultants in a joint-clinic/MDT setting.
Successful applicants will have a strong academic track record: hold a PhD or equivalent; have a sound understanding of the relevance of both basic science and translational research; and be capable of securing significant independent research grant funding. Clinically the post holder must be fully registered with the GMC/GDC, hold Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage. In addition, the role holder will need FRCR or equivalent and a wide experience in Clinical Oncology and in particular Head and Neck malignancies (both radiotherapy & chemotherapy).
