The School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies at the University of Bristol is looking to appoint one or more Lecturers/Senior Lecturers. Successful candidates will have an excellent research and teaching profile in any field of Politics or International Relations, broadly defined. The School is particularly interested in candidates with an expertise in British politics, International Relations, International Political Economy, and International Development. Successful candidates must be future research leaders, have high quality research outputs, provide evidence of research grant success and must demonstrate an interest in research impact/public engagement activities. They will also be expected to provide evidence of engaged and innovative teaching.

Successful candidates will join a highly collegial and thriving interdisciplinary School, which has a vibrant research culture and extremely successful teaching programmes, a very successful and growing Faculty and a world-class University. The School’s existing expertise in Politics and International Relations is in areas such as gender and politics/IR; critical security studies; international development, European politics, British politics and political theory. It also participates actively in many of the interdisciplinary initiatives currently within the University.
