The School is currently seeking to recruit Teaching Associates in Law for the 2018-19 academic year to support teaching in its LLB and/or MA in Law programmes and provide related administration. The posts are on Pathway 3 of the University of Bristolís Academic Career Pathways.
You should have relevant experience of effective teaching on a qualifying law degree or equivalent; evidence of ability and willingness to teach two or more core units of the qualifying law degree in the LLB and/or MA in Law programmes, one of which must be Tort Law or EU Law; evidence of ability to carry out academic administrative duties effectively; and excellent interpersonal skills including evidence of ability to work well in a team. It is also essential to have a good honours degree or equivalent in law (for example, Graduate Diploma in Law); and a postgraduate degree in law or a law-related subject (or to be working towards one) or equivalent professional qualification or experience.
The posts are fixed term (cover), available from 1 September 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter until 31 July 2019. Full and part time posts are available. The hours of work available are between 50% time/0.5 FTE and 100% time/1 FTE.
