The Faculty of Psychology and Sports Science invites applications for a
W2 Professorship (with W3 tenure track)
in Educational Psychology
as of now
provisionally limited to six years as of the earliest possible date. Reference is made to § 64 section 1 and 4 Hessian Higher Education Act (HHG) and to conditions of employment based on § 62 HHG. In case of eligibility, which will be evaluated according to § 64 section 2 HHG, a permanent W3 Professorship will be offered subsequently. Proficient knowledge of German is expected.
The successful candidate is expected to have an excellent dissertation and additional achievements in research in at least one of the major areas of educational psychology, a focus on empirical education research is advantageous. The incumbent is also expected to have an outstanding publication record in international peer-reviewed journals and to be successful at obtaining third-party funding (preferably DFG, BMBF). Teaching entails the training of student teachers and students enrolled in the BSc and MSc psychology programs. The successful applicant is expected to develop a research program that strengthens the faculty’s main areas of educational psychology research, and that specifically addresses gender-related research questions. Openness to teach in English as well as willingness to cooperate with colleagues in the educational sciences and didactics are expected.
