The Faculty of Psychology and Sports Science invites applications for a
W2 Professorship of Sports Science with the focus on Sports Didactics
as of April 1st, 2018, in accordance with § 64 section 1 and 4 Hessisches Hochschulgesetz (HHG) for six years. The position can be transferred into a permanent position (W3) after positive evaluation according to § 64 section 2 HHG. Proficient knowledge of German is expected.
The candidate should represent the subject in research and training. The tasks in teaching include the training in all sections for teaching-students. Experience in research within the field of Sports Didactic, preferentially research in school-context and/or in the field of sport/health in children and adolescents, is expected. In addition to relevant publications, experience and success in independent third-party funding are expected. Moreover, candidates should be able to develop perspectives for the connection to research areas in the faculty and the interdisciplinary empirical education research. The ability to teach in English is desirable. In addition, the maintenance of international relations and a commitment to foster international networking of the subject area are expected. The integration of gender aspects in research and teaching is desired.
According to § 62 section 4 HHG, candidates should have practical teaching experience in schools for at least three years.
