GESIS

The GESIS provides services in support of social science research including development and supply of databases with information on social science literature and research activities as well as the archiving and provision of survey data from social research. Services including consultation on methodological questions, development of complex methods of empirical social research as well as GESIS’ own long-term observation of social developments with the aid of these instruments are also available. GESIS was established in 1986 and is divided into three departments:

GESIS-IZ, Bonn
GESIS-ZA, University of Cologne
GESIS-ZUMA, Mannheim
and maintains a Service Agency Eastern Europe in Berlin.

GESIS is member of Leibniz-Association(WGL).
